What Are the Most Effective Eye Drops for Contact Lens Wearers?

I started using contact lenses a month ago, and I use Acuvue Oasys contact lenses. I tried Acuvue Advance 2 first, but my eyes felt extremely dry with that type of lens, so I switched to Oasys. However, my eyes are still dry at times (although not as much with the Advance 2), and I can still feel the lenses in my eyes with a little irritation. I’ve tried Opti-free Rewetting Drops, but the comfort these drops offer doesn’t last very long. I’m looking for answers derived from research and personal experience.

hmm, ive always used Visine. they make a formula for contact wearers that seems to work for me.

  3. Optifree just started making a contact lens solution to help retain moisture. I haven’t tried it but optifree soluitions are usually very good. I would go to their site and you can print off a coupon for it.

I am also a contact lens wearer that occasionally suffers from dry eyes. I would also recommend finding a drop for dry eye – not just for contact lenses (rewetting drops). Look for drops that are preservative free – the preservatives can be absorbed by contact lenses and ruin them. Systane, refresh, and genteal are all companies that make really good drops, just be sure you buy ones without preservatives. good luck

Depends on your eye and the lenses. Ask your doc:)
